Application    Acrylonitrile is used in the manufacture of acrylic fibers, resins (acrylonitrile butadiene-styrene, styrene-acrylonitrile and others) and nitrile rubbers (butadiene-acrylonitrile).
Biochem/physiol Actions    An industrial carcinogen that is a multisite carcinogen in rats and possibly carcinogenic to humans.
